Peace and all good!
Our visits to Areas of our Congregation show the depth of our love and concern. We realize that individual and community choices affect the whole Congregation and our global community. We are called to open our hearts to all people through service and prayer.
After Jesus' resurrection he became a new presence among us. Like Mary Magdalene we are not to cling to what has been, but to live in the present moment in a deeper relationship with Jesus, serving him in our sisters and brothers throughout the world. It is time to let go of the relationship as it was and time to open to being sent forth. The Good News to be shared is that Jesus lives and continues his presence among us in the midst of our world that is fractured by war, violence, and an ever-widening divide between the rich and the poor. Our Mother Earth is crying out for attention as we continue to drain her resources, and pollute that which is the very source of our life.
In response to the situation of today's world we are called to be witnesses of hope. In the struggles and challenges in the Church and the world, Jesus is the source of our hope and enables us to build a hope-filled future. We are called to be his presence wherever we are.
As we celebrate our lives as Easter people, let us continue to witness to Jesus’ love, so that others will know that we are disciples of Jesus by the way we love one another!
